The company was officially registered and established on 16 January 2020 as a subsidiary of Techno Medical Public Company Limited (Techno Medical PCL: TM), which has operated as a distributor of medical devices and medical equipment to hospitals nationwide for more than 20 years.
Thailand has experienced a rapid increase in the proportion of elderly individuals aged 60 years and above, reaching approximately 20% of the total population—faster than the government’s prior projections. As a result, preparedness measures to address this demographic shift remain insufficient and lack continuity, potentially affecting the overall quality of life of the elderly population.
Statistically, approximately 80% of elderly individuals are able to live independently without physical impairment, around 15% have partial physical limitations, and about 5% experience significant physical impairment or are in a dependent condition.
In terms of health conditions, it has been found that approximately 80% of the elderly population suffer from chronic non-communicable diseases (Non-Communicable Diseases: NCDs), ranging from mild to severe levels, which require adequate and high-quality medical care, health promotion, and rehabilitation services to ensure effective and sustainable health management.
Techno Medical Public Company Limited (Techno Medical PCL: TM) has therefore developed a plan to expand its business into elderly care, health promotion, and rehabilitation services. In collaboration with a team of knowledgeable and experienced physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, the Company established a subsidiary, The Parents Co., Ltd., to operate a business dedicated to elderly care, health promotion, and rehabilitation. The objective is to contribute to society and the nation in fully addressing the challenges of an aging society, ensuring that Thai elderly individuals have a good quality of life and do not become a burden to their families and society.
The initiative begins upstream with the establishment of a caregiver training school that provides sufficient and appropriate quality education to prepare caregivers to care for the elderly both in various institutions and at home. It continues midstream with the development of health promotion centers and comprehensive elderly care services for all groups, including the social group, the partially dependent group, and the permanently dependent (bedridden) group. These services serve as support for families whose members must work to earn a living and may lack adequate space, equipment, and time to properly care for their elderly loved ones. The aim is to ensure a good quality of life and happiness for both the elderly receiving care and their families, whether at the Company’s facility, The Parents Wellness and Rehabilitation, or at the homes of elderly individuals where caregivers are assigned by the Company.
At the downstream level, a specialized elderly hospital focusing on rehabilitation medicine and physical therapy has been established to restore and maintain the health and physical capabilities of elderly individuals. The goal is to prevent further deterioration, maintain or improve physical performance, and enable elderly individuals to enjoy a good quality of life and happiness in the later stages of their lives with their families.

Organization Team
Dr. Virul Pornpattakul began his medical career after earning his Doctor of Medicine degree from Chiang Mai University. He started as an intern at Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital and later served as a government physician and pediatrician at Nakornnayok Hospital, where he dedicated more than two decades to caring for children and families.
Throughout his career, Dr. Virul has held several leadership positions in Thailand’s healthcare system, including Director of Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Hospital and Director of Pranangklao Hospital. He has also served in senior executive roles in both public and private healthcare institutions, contributing his expertise to hospital administration, medical education, and healthcare management.
With decades of experience in medicine, healthcare leadership, and community service, Dr. Virul now serves as the Chief Executive Officer of The Parents Co., Ltd., overseeing The Parents Nursing Home, Wellness and Rehabilitation Center. His vision is to provide comprehensive long-term care that integrates professional medical services, rehabilitation, and compassionate support to improve the quality of life and well-being of older adults and their families.
Dr. Soontaree Janlongbut began her career as a medical technologist in blood banking at Chulalongkorn Hospital after completing her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Mahidol University. She later became a researcher at the Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Sciences and went on to found Technomedical Public Company Limited, where she serves as CEO.
Inspired by her mother’s stroke and the challenges of home-based rehabilitation, she co-founded The Parents Wellness and Revitalizing Center with Dr. Nopadol Nopkhun to provide professional, holistic rehabilitation and long-term care—supporting both physical recovery and emotional well-being.
